Email Funny....

Okay, I usually wouldn't share this, but this was just too funny to keep to myself... I posted a message on Craigslist looking for a subcontractor and got an email back, which I ignored because they didn't use the BCC so you could tell it was a blanket email to a bunch of people and it had a LOT of spelling/grammar errors (and if I caught it, you know it's bad, I've even made red some of the funniest parts)... here's the original email:

Subject: Bookkeeping Clients Wanted!
February 15, 2006

My name is TM and I am a XX year old degreed Accountant. I am currently seeking clients that have Accounting/Bookkeeping positions available. I have six years of bookkeeping experience on Quickbooks Pro 1999 thru 2005. Most of those years in the fields S Corporations, Durable Medical Equipment, and Agriculture. I am EXTREMELY detailed orientated and have yet to meet a deadline given to me. I would like the opportunity to visit with you regarding your bookkeeping needs. I would be working on a telecommunicate basis through telephone, emails, and alot of faxing. I am attaching a copy of my resume for your reveiw, and would welcome an opportunity to demonstrate my skills and answer any questions you might have regarding my qualifications. I will be working hand-in-hand daily with my clients to handle all their bookkeeping needs, and would, of course, be sending a monthly backup copy of their company financials every month along with all financial statements. I appreciate your time and consideration, and look forward to hearing from you.

Yeah, so obviously I just hit "delete" because it was terrible and because my ad made sure to state that they had to give me certain information to even be considered. I didn't open the resume, I was scared to... so anyway... I get another email with the same subject from someone else... read it bottom to top to see what transpired...

From MJ to EVERYONE on the CC list from the original email:
I am not a bitch, just an honest accounting business owner who has had a successful business for over 10 years; I am willing to bet you don't make it 10 months.

You need to learn to take constructive criticism and use it to your advantage - you will not get far without that skill.

Be careful who you talk to like that - it can bite you in the rear. I've cc'd all the people you e-mailed to let them know just how unprofessional you are.

I am sorry, I meant to say that I have yet NOT to meet a deadline, my mistake. Please disregard my previous message, there is NO WAY I could work for a bitch like you! Thank you, TM
P.S. Just a small town Texas woman trying to make a living, no need to be hateful!

I cannot stop laughing about this... first, how stupid do you have to be to send out a message without using BCC so everyone sees everyone's email address? Second, PROOFREAD people... for christ's sake... PROOFREAD!

And thirdly, in the words of the gaming community, you totally got "PWNED", TM! *laugh*

I love how polite that 'small town Texan woman not trying to hate on people' is: "there is NO WAY I could work for a bitch like you! Thank you". Is it just me or does it seem like a Jerry Springer episode is cuttin' loose here? If any of the upcoming b'ccs you get on this mention someone's 'baby's mama'...

Ahhh, good stuff.

Oh, I would have done the exact same thing you did. That is just too funny.

By the way, what kind of experience are you looking for? I am in desperate need of a new position.

That was about the best thing I've read in a LONG time. I'm so happy you shared that with us. Made my day!! And I hear the word PWNED all the time at home. My husband is a World of Warcraft NUT.
