13 Years And He's Still Alive
So, today is our 13th wedding anniversary. Yes, I have been married to this loveable geek for 13 long years :-) After yesterday, he redeemed himself by having flowers delivered. Funny part? I was at the post office when they came *laugh* So he took the delivery! Ah, the joys of having a home office.

This is my gift, apparently. Yes, folks, this is a remote-controlled Video Card. ((listening to the crickets)). Yeah, I'm not sure I "get it" either. I was watching something on his computer hooked up to the TV and had to keep getting up to pause it and stuff and laughed that we needed a remote control for the thing. So, he got it. Since then, we've figured out how to burn stuff to DVD, which I prefer anyway... But I'm reserving judgement until I see what exactly it can do for me... so far, Ummmm... okay, thanks, honey. I have a wishlist for a reason, dear...
Of course, I got him nothing for an anniversary because we never do gifts, we just try to go out to dinner so I guess I should shut up, but he got a ROCKIN' birthday from me in January...And just so you can't make all the fun of him, here's are wedding photo... March 3, 1993. Yes, that's my hair. Yes, I did that on purpose. It seemed like a good idea at the time.
Stop laughing... stop it!

Happy Anniversary! O.M.G, sounds just like my husband. He got me a shredder for xmas. Okay, truthfully I love it, but come on!! I wanted something a teensy-tiny more reomantic than somthing that rips up paper.
That's "romantic"...
Yup, the paper shredder was for xmas here too...
No, I'm not kidding.
Happy Anniversary! (And Birthday a day late!)
S - A - TUR - DAY - Night! ;o)
Look at that perm. WOWIE.
Happy Anniversary!! I love that, um, thing you got there. It's almost as shiny as a diamond.
Okay, I've been told to set the record a little more straight. I'm allergic to gold/silver so I can't wear it without breaking and I *do* like practical gifts... like had he got me a Roomba or something I would have thought it was the best thing ever (I really did like the paper shredder)...
and an update.. a colleague got me a gift card to Barnes & Noble. Those that know me know that this is the coolest thing because I ADORE books. I got the new Frank McCourt book (Teacher Man, which I've already started reading) and a book called Devil In The Details by Jennifer Traig because it looked interesting. I also bought us dessert/coffee - we had dinner at Iron Cactus tonight. It was nice... no kids!
A client got me a gift card to a spa... ahhhh... I see another facial in my future!
My mother in law got me a gift card to my favorite clothing store too! I LOVE gift cards. I know, some people hate them, but I LOVE picking something out and not having to "pay for it myself". I'm weird.
Who doesn't love that???
OMG, look at you two!!
you youngins.
Congrats on 13 years!!
And don't ya love it when the man gives "you" a gift that is coincidentally just something they've been wanting also?
Truthfully, I don't watch much TV. She's always complaining that she can only record TWO shows at a time on the DVR. When I got the card (a couple of months ago really, she didn't need it, but wanted it..I had the chance to get it..) she would have been ecstatic. Unfortunately, times have changed a bit.
I seriously think timing is the biggest issue here. That video card is basically useless to me (not designed for playing games), but I thought she would really like it.
Ah well, there is always Ebay....
That was ONCE... six months ago... *laugh* It's okay... it's the ... err, thought that counts, right? ;)
'Sides, you got me roses, so I forgive you. But from now on, find one of my friends and run it by them first.. :p
