Jamie's Game & Cassie's Pony Ride

They WON! They WON! Jamie's team rarely wins. This is only their second win this season. In fact, they won to the same team last month, but Jamie wasn't there to celebrate because he was at Cassie's birthday party. He was so proud of himself. He's also getting a LOT better. He actually got the ball, ran (and dribbled) all the way down the court this morning and passed it to another player. A LOT better! Here he is by the scoreboard :-) Yes, I am totally kicking myself for not bringing my real camera. This shot with my phone will have to do...

The game was in Georgetown and then we had to take a trek much further South...

We went to the Excalibur Renaissance Festival today in Lockhart. Talk about miserable! It was hot... so freaking HOT. You pay to get in and there's nothing really going on. There was someone playing Celtic music and a play. That was it. We didn't stay long, the kids were burning up and so ready to get out of there. They were miserable (and Jamie kept asking about the freaks in costumes... I mean it's not Halloween, so I think he was confused). Poor Tom, he was really looking forward to going. Apparently, this isn't the one he was expecting. By the time we got in the car, cooled of, took the kids out to Pizza Hut, we were all just exhausted so we came home. The highlight of the trip was Cassie actually riding a miniature pony! I didn't think she'd actually let them move with her on it, but she did! And, yes, being the overprotective Mommy that I am, I made Tom walk along with her. Jamie, of course, wanted nothing to do with that! I got video, of course, I didn't have my camera, so the quality is lousy, but hey... it's something!

I have NO idea why there's no sound (or why a 12 second video is now 4 seconds)... it took an act of congress just to get the freaking video off of my phone, converted to something I could use, blah blah blah... I need Advil after that ordeal!

PS - That fabulous "Remote Controlled Video Card" featured earlier this month - yeah, the weird birthday gift, is now available on eBay - get it while it's hot! *giggle*

So proud of Jamie Man! Evan's first soccer game was a total hoot.

Sorry the festival sucked. Nice to drive a million miles to be disappointed. At least it wasn't cold??? How cute is she on that pony?!?
