Yum! Fried Pies!

So, last night, Tom decided to make some fried apple pies. Well, actually, a few days ago he decided to make homemade apple pie (I LOVE apples, LOVE them, but I can't eat them raw, it's some weird allergy). Anyway, so he made the filling, but didn't have time to figure out a crust. So he finds this recipe for apple fritters.

Let me say that Tom is a great cook, but he doesn't have ANY common sense. I mean that, he is super book smart, but he has the common sense of a doorknob. I look up and he's frying them in a wok full of oil - I look at it and just kinda shrug knowing he's gonna make a mess. 2 minutes later, the smoke detector starts blaring (did I mention this was at 11pm when the kids were sleeping?). So, I grab the broom to fan the thing while he opens the windows. I tell him to please do it in a sauce pan... can you guess which are which?
They were REALLY GOOOOOD though (he'll need to cook the apples a little more because I still had to chug a little liquid Benedryl so my throat wouldn't close up *laugh*). The pastry was PERFECT - so light and just... YUM! I want cherry ones next time... yum!

Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, we know... they aren't healthy... whatever.
