Happy 103rd Birthday, Dr Seuss....
Who doesn't love Dr. Seuss... Book People had a birthday party for Dr. Seuss on Saturday and we went. The kids had a great time. They read some Dr. Seuss books, sang happy birthday and had cake for the kiddos. They even got "goody bags". We, of course, bought books while we are there. I love Book People. Oh, I know they aren't the cheapest in town, but they are local and they always have off-beat stuff in there. My biggest complaint (and it's a biggie in this momma's err.. book) is that they put toys along the stairs going upstairs to the kid's area. Not only do you have to say "no" a million times to the kid, it's also hard to reach over all that crap so the kid can grab the railing while they are walking. We'd probably go there more often if it wasn't for that one "little" thing. Anyway, pictures below...

I avoided the local parties this year -- one was done at school by the committee I'd had to drop out of (I'd told them up front I can't meet in the mornings) and the other was at the bookstore I just got home from, $50 poorer but two autographed books richer...
Glad you guys had fun!
Very cool!
