Austin Trail of Lights 2007
We ventured down to Zilker and walked the Trail of Lights last night. We hadn't done it since 2004, so it was a lot of fun. The kids behaved and I got to practice taking photos. ;)
Our friend and her kid went with us. She had a scarf and each kid grabbed a section. It worked great. We didn't have to hold their hands the whole way but we couldn't lose them, they were grouped together. They did really well considering they don't open it until 7pm and bedtime is 7:15 here!
Here's a slideshow... it was SO neat this year.

My favorite was Where The Wild Things Are - and I think my photo turned out pretty good on that one. The dinosaur around the tree was REALLY neat as well. It was a great time. We hope to try to do this every year :)
Oh, and yes, we twirled under the tree. I think you have to. :-)

It looks like you had a lot of fun!! ;)
Where the Wild Things Are was our favorite too! this is the first year I've gone. And i've lived in Austin for 10 years. sad, eh.
Marc's daughter taught me that you HAVE to twirl under the tree. so we all did. So i'm expecting good luck this year! If not, can I call you so you can fix it???
We went Tuesday night and from the looks of it so did everyone else in town because I don't see any other people in your photos.
And now I know that you are *one of those* annoying people who stopped every 5 feet to take a picture, thereby holding up the line of people behind you. (Who forgot their cameras or they would be taking picture also. ;o)
LOL... I did pretty good at trying to not be in the way. It was crowded, but not overly so. But if there were too many people, I would get a shot as we walked by. I had them pose only where it wasn't too crowded or there was a bump out place for them to sit down :-)
But yeah, I'm annoying - BTW, who are you? LOL! Your profile doesn't point to your blog... Hmmm....
