He's a First Grader now!
Well, Jamie passed Kinder -- even got a diploma to prove it ;)

Here's his Report Card - I'm so proud! He reads on a mid-first grade level! Tom and I are big readers so I'm so happy he's doing well. Go, Jamie, Go!
So he's a big first grader now! Wow! When did I blink?

Summers Just Around the Corner....
Yip...Jamie only has 8 more schools days left and then Summer is here! I'm looking forward to this with a lot of anticipation as well as trepidation. I've got a lot of plans this summer, I just hope we can pull them all off.
Sooo...in preparation: we setup the new kiddie pool. The kids are in the backyard with Candy as I type this having a BLAST! Here are a few highlights:

Jamie's First Novel...
This came home from school... I believe I may have a novelist on my hands!
"My tooth is loose" I said. Notice the dog at his feet, and of course Cassie beside him.
"Julie, look my tooth fell out" - Julie is our dog. Notice he's holding the tooth there.
"The tooth fairy is here." Notice the pillow, the ZZZs and and the little tooth fairy.
"I got two dollars." - You gotta be impressed not only by the money drawn in his hands, but the halo on his head (?)
"I am having breakfast." -- no idea what this has to do with anything, but he and Cassie having breakfast - notice the cereal in the bowls? LOL!Labels: art, funny stuff, Jamie

Adventures in San Francisco...
I'm finally (somewhat) catching up with work and thought I'd finally load the pictures from my trip to San Francisco. What a beautiful city! When I become independently wealthy, I'm moving there. I mean it! *laugh* The IVAA Summit was great and I wasn't leaving until the next morning, so we had six hours to kill. A colleague of mine, Lanel, is from the area and took Lauren (another colleague) around... talk about speed sight-seeing! I had a GREAT time though! Enjoy!
First up was Giants Stadium - they are baseball? football? I don't remember... anyway Lauren's kids are into it, so here ya go :)

Then we went to the Golden Gate Bridge. I seriously did not realize how MASSIVE this bridge is. It's freaking HUGE. A helicopter going under it looked like a speck of dust. The cables on that thing are... it's just really freaking big, trust me.

Here's us at an overlook, some boats and stuff...

We went to the beach where I got this idea "I came this far, I'm sticking my darn feet in the ocean" Yeah... here's a tip... the ocean in San Francisco is REALLY cold in April. No really.

You can kind of see Alcatraz (no time to do that, I wish I had!) in the background here...

And for a thrill we went up Lombard Street and then back down it. What's so great about that? Well, it's CRAZY.
This is us going up...

And us coming down...
And since that really doesn't give you a good vantage of what this thing is, check out the top picture HEREI had a seriously good time!

What a doll...
While I was at my conference, I get THIS picture mail from Tom... apparently she had been sitting under the folding chair and rubbing her head around (thus the nasty hair) and he told her to make a monster face.
Talk about a face only a mother could love....Labels: Cassie, funny stuff
