Lost Tooth Number SIX!

Jamie has become pretty ruthless lately with the teeth thing. The first few he waited until they were barely hanging on (I literally touched the first two and they fell out). Now, he's yanking them out. LOL. This is him showing off the new hole in his head.

Head over to the If You Give A Kid A Camera blog project to see the picture of the tooth that he took himself!

Cassie now insists that HER teeth are loose too... if she and Jamie manage to pull teeth out of her mouth I'm not gonna be happy...

Blog from Mission Control

Mission Controllers Log
Stardate: 062007.1523

Intrepid astronauts Jamie and Cassie prepare for a rainy day launch of there 2-man spaceship "Cardboardicus". We wish them luck on their journey and on their mission: to save the sun!

(The rain is driving them crazy. Luckily I have a bad habit of letting boxes stack up in the garage.)

Super Summer Part II

This summer my friend Robert and I are trying to keep the kids busy. We are getting together every Monday at his house for a MASSIVE no-holds-barred play group. We normally have 5: Mine (Jamie, Cassie) his (Jesse, Robin) and his sisters (Orianna).

Every other Tuesday we are taking them someplace different. We are TRYING to maintain an educational theme, but we'll see where we go from here. The first week we went to the Bob Bullock Museum, but forgot the camera.

SSP2 was the Austin Zoo. It is a privately owned and donation based zoo located just south of Austin. All of the animals are rescues. That is to say, somebody thought it would be a good idea to keep a tiger, bear, or lion as a pet. Suffice to say: this usually doesn't work out. That is where the Austin Zoo comes in.

So, here are the pics: (We had our normal troupe, plus Jessica came along as well!)

Fathers Day, One Day Early

So Cassie woke up afraid of the storm last night. Somehow, I ended up sleeping in her bed. OUCH! Anyways, I get an awesome surprise when I wake up. They decided to give my me fathers day gift one day early!
A wallet you say? Nay, my friend! Take a closer look:The wallet has a built in digital photo frame! Carries up to 65 photos! Pretty awesome!

I have to give Candy props: she did an awesome job finding something that is both family oriented and satisfies my "Gadget Craving".

She also made me brunch! Simple and Easy Tunisian Scrambled Eggs With Veggies

Father's Day - Preview

Jamie and Cassie made the wrapping paper for Tom's Father's Day gift. We went ahead and gave it to him this morning (I made breakfast) so he will be able to use it tomorrow - I'll let him show you what he got when he decides to blog again. :p

I have reached a new level of geekdom...

It's no secret that Tom and I are addicted to Recipe Zaar. He gets to make new food and play with new stuff and I get to take pictures and play with them. I have no idea what I'm doing with my camera, it has all these settings that mean absolutely nothing to me. ISO? AE? Whatever. BUT I do know that the light in our house is not bright enough to take close up photos and we get horrible natural light... so... I just bought this. Yes, I'm insane.

What I really REALLY REALLY want though is this camera - I know, my camera is perfectly fine, but this one is so nice (not that I'd know how to use all the gadgets on it)

Last Day of Swimming Lessons

Today was the last day of swimming lessons for the kids. They both have to repeat it thought. Cassie because she won't put her head under and Jamie because he doesn't swim right. LOL. Great.

Jamie & Tom Cooking

The kids didn't like, but we did - it was Quick Chunky Greek Pizza
The crust was NASTY though - that cornmeal just ruined it. Next time, we'll make our own crust or use a prepared one.

Schlitterbahn Vacation Photos

If I've done this correctly, you should see a slideshow from our vacation :)

Created with Paul's flickrSLiDR.

We had a great time! Cassie was still a little weak from being sick, so it was 2 hours in the park and 2 hours back to the hotel to rest, but she was a champ! The kids had a great time, we had a great time and I feel really rested! Such a great vacation - the kids absolutely love Schlitterbahn (okay, we do too) ;)
