Wanna Tour The Playground?

I took the kids to the playground and Jamie wanted to make a movie. Only he forgot to turn it on, then he didn't do the introduction until around 3:20. Yes, it's long. Yes, I even shortened it.

WARNING: if you have epilepsy or are highly prone to motion sickness DO NOT watch this video.

Hear Ye, Hear Ye....

... Or Why No One Likes Me Anymore

Seriously, it's always something, right? Having said that, at least this one doesn't suck. Most people read magazines, right? You can even renew your current subscriptions - AND support my kid's school. You know you want to. Just admit it.

Okay, they make this so complicated. I dunno why they can't just give me a link, so follow along...

1. Point your browsers over to http://store.gafundraising.com/
2. When prompted, enter School ID # 666149
3. First name is Cassandra. or James. Last name is Beauchamp.

Buy now! Buy quickly! Before they all run out!

Errr... or something. They win prizes (of course!) and the last day for that is October 13, so hopefully we'll get a few orders. If not, well, then I know no one loves me.

Yes, I'm talking about YOU.

(oh, and if I know you and you get a postcard in the mail, toss it if you want, they get a balloon or something if I fill out the stupid stack).

Soccer time again!

Soccer's been going on for a few weeks. Cassie is playing and Tom is coaching again this season... she's having a fabulous time! Cassie is doing really good this year too and we have a wonderful team this year as well. Go Eagles!

Jamie's Soccer Cam - Rambling about Spore

Shawn may have the Truck Cam, but Jamie has the Soccer Cam! I had to slice it up because this annoying kid kept coming around trying to borrow the camera (umm, no, go away!) I thought it was cute. :) You can tell Jamie is annoyed with the kid. "So, anyway..."

He likes playing with my Flip and any other camera I'll let him hold :)

Cassie can "read"!

I guess I read this book to her too much because she got several of the lines correct... very good memory!

New bed for Jamie

So... Jamie's birthday is coming up in 10 days! WooHoo! He will be EIGHT! Yes, we gave him his gift early. He's been BEGGING for a bunk bed for forever. He wants to be able to have his friends over and have a place to sit and for them to sleepover. We found this bunk with a futon and he fell in love with it. We found it for a GREAT price so went ahead and bought it. He's in heaven.

Jamies New Cool Kid Bed

This is the video where he first saw it. He knew we had gotten it, but we told him we weren't going to put it up until the weekend or his birthday. Then Tom spent the morning putting it together. When he came home, we told him he was in trouble and needed to go to his room immediately and we'd be in there in a few minutes - I had the camera in there waiting to get his reaction. Yes, I realize I had the camera sideways at first. I didn't even think about. Just deal with it.

This is them later after they got up there... now they go up and down with no big deal - and no, we didn't leave them in there alone - but we did think about it ;)

Condolences...

A friend of mine, who reads my blog (and doesn't comment like the rest of you lurkers!) saw my post last week about the spoon. She felt so bad for me and my family that she sent us a card of condolences.

It feels so good to think others were thinking of us in our time of sorrow ;)

Thanks for the laugh, D!

6 Things About Me MeMe

That witch over at ATF is making me do this. So, I'm gonna do it. And then I'm going to name six of you people that have to do it at the end. Blame her.

Okay, so I have to tell you six things you may not know about me. Seriously, I'm pretty much an open book, so these will suck.

1. My favorite book genre is memoirs. The more screwed up the better. It reminds me that my family is not the only one that might belong on Jerry Springer.

2. I LOVE Halloween. I like it more than Christmas, truth be told. I love decorating the yard, I love making up the candy bags, watching the kids trick-or-treat. LOVE it.

3. It took me nearly 3 years from the time I moved to Austin to meet anyone that would become really good, close friends. You know, the ones you'd probably die not only for your own kids but for their kids? Or ones where you can show up on their doorstep with a cup of coffee and they don't wig out that their hair isn't brushed or they haven't cleaned? Yes, those friends. I secretly want to make them all move onto my little block in my neighborhood so we could actually do that!

4. I hate Science Fiction and Fantasy books. I've tried, several times, to read them. I don't get it. I wish I liked them so Tom and I could read them and talk about them, but I just can't get into them. There have been VERY few that I liked.

5. It still amazes me that my husband knows me so well. Like really well. It's scary. Like the books, he'll read a SciFi book and I know if he tells me "you'll like this one, read it" that he'll be right. It doesn't happen very often, but when it does, it still surprises me. Or he'll just know I've had a bad day and just do the dishes after he makes dinner so I can just go chill out a bit.

6. I think the PedEgg is the best thing EVER! I used to have really bad sore, cracked feet and now, nodda. I'm THRILLED with that thing! It's actually freaky how well it works. And no, I don't work for "As Seen On TV" ;)

Well, Crystal only chose 2, but I'm still recovering from this respiratory crud, so I'm gonna call out six of you. :p
1. My husband, Tom, cuz I wanna see his answers
2. Lanel, at Charming Tales, cuz she's neglecting her blog
3. Heather, at Life As We Know It, cuz she's a blog queen
4. Jenny, at Beyond Mom, cuz I wanna be as funny as she one day
5. Kris, at KC's House, cuz she's crazy, but in a really good way!
6. And YOU... yes, you... the person reading this blog. YOU get to do it too!

When you are done, come back and tell me you did it in the comments :)

Some Artwork....

Cassie had homework one day last week where she had to draw pictures of things that start with the letter S. She drew this:
Cassies Things That Start With S

... but she wanted Dad to color while she did it, so Tom colored this:
Daddys Color Page

These she brought home (Jamie doesn't do too much drawing much anymore, sniffle).

I'm not sure what the purpose of this was, but she (shocker!) drew Pikachu on the lunchbox. I'm slightly disturbed that the thing seems to have a red bullet hole on it's ear (or is that normal? I don't even know).

I was quite proud of her with this one, actually...

The twins' visit... cute overload! Part 2

I posted the videos yesterday, but you know I also took pictures, right?!?! Here they are again...

This is my favorite of the bunch. I love this photo!
E In Shadow

This one I adore the look on Kathryn (the one in the front)'s face. LOL. She looks like a grumpy old man, but it's just so sweet!
Girls On Bellies

And this one because it cracks me up - I can just read K's mind "gimme some of that thumb, E!)
